Concert, musical upcoming at Shen. Valley

SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Valley School District announced upcoming events and happenings in their Arts Department Tuesday afternoon, including the upcoming spring concert and musical.
The musical, “Into the Woods,” will be performed by the Drama Club on April 26, 27, and 28 at the high school auditorium. Performances will be at 7pm on April 26 and 27, and at 2pm on April 28. Tickets go on sale two weeks prior at a cost of $10, or $25 for a weekend pass.
A few weeks later, the Shenandoah Valley Band will perform their Spring concert, entitled “Spring Around the World” on May 9 at 7.
On May 14, the SV Elementary Band and the high school jazz band, “Smooth Blue Jazz,” will take the stage at 7:00pm.
All bands are under the direction of music teacher and band director John Shoener, and all performances are free.
Finally, art teacher William Kreiger is in the process of securing a Main Street storefront for a student art show for the public. More details will be released when plans are finalized.
