Comet Neowise spotted in northern Schuylkill
UNION TWP. – A comet was visible in the evening sky over the Ringtown Valley Tuesday night.
The comet Neowise is visible in the northern sky just after sunset and in the early morning hours, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The comet was discovered in March and has been visible in the early morning hours for the past few days, and became visible in the evening yesterday.
Our photographer captured the comet in the skies above Ringtown this evening.
It will be closest to Earth on July 22, according to NASA, and is expected to remain visible in some capacity until mid-August.
