SHENANDOAH – It’s June, and that means it’s time for runners to hit the streets of Shenandoah and the hills of the Mahanoy Valley for one of the most challenging foot races in eastern Pennsylvania.
The Coal Cracker 10K is this Saturday.
Fun run starts at 9am and the 10k gets going at 10am in downtown Shenandoah.
The fun-run loops the southeast side of Shenandoah Borough while the 10k itself leaves town, following the Gold Star Highway to Gilberton, east to Saint Nicholas, and Route 54 back into town, to the finish line at Centre and Market.
Day-of registration will take place at the Polish American firehouse.
You can still pre-register online as well until midnight Wednesday.
An after-party is scheduled at The Lyric.
