SHENANDOAH – Following in a longstanding Shenandoah Valley tradition, the most recent graduating class completed their class mural.

This year, senior members of the Shenandoah Valley Art Club completed the mural in the south stairwell of the high school.

For decades, graduating classes have painted murals in the lower level of the high school building, following a chosen theme and highlighting significant events. Some events and highlights could include Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Scholar Athletes, Homecoming Queen, Winter Formal King, Spring Queen, Prom King and Queen, individual and team athletic championships and records, and a remembrance of a student or faculty member who sadly passed away.

In most cases, each member of the senior class has signed the mural.

With space running out downstairs, recent classes have moved on to stairwells within the building.

This year’s mural was painted by Paloma Manjaraz, Allison Soto, Morgan Labosky, Kiara Nunez, and Dalianys Trinidad.
