Car strikes parked cars, house on west end

SHENANDOAH – No injuries were reported when a car struck two parked cars and a house at a Shenandoah intersection known for crashes.

Monday’s incident happened around 11:45pm at Gilbert and Centre Streets in the borough.

A Ford Explorer headed west on Centre crossed the center line and struck a parked Ford Explorer and a Jeep parked in the 300 block of Centre.

The Explorer continued across Gilbert and struck a home at 402 West Centre Street. The vehicle also struck an outdoor propane tank. Shenandoah firefighters secured the utility.

Shenandoah Police at the scene said the driver reported his steering locking up, causing the crash. The driver did not have a license and will be cited, police said.

Assisting borough police were State Police, Shenandoah Fire, and Shenandoah EMS. Steve’s Towing towed the vehicle.
