Borough teens escape injury in Port Carbon crash
PORT CARBON – Five young adults from Shenandoah were uninjured after a crash early Friday morning in this central Schuylkill County borough.
The crash happened around 1:12am July 24, according to State Police at Schuylkill Haven.
Troopers said Victoria Donovan, 18, of Shenandoah, was headed westbound on Route 209, Washington Street, in a 2010 Kia Optima.
Donovan, troopers said, lost control of the car in a right-hand corner, striking a utility pole and a street sign.
The street sign fell and struck a parked 2015 Toyota Highlander, causing minor damage.
Donovan, along with two 17-year-old passengers, 21-year-old Joshua Jacavage, and 19-year-old Joseph Karvois, were uninjured.
