Borough Police nab Pottsville man for July west end shooting

SHENANDOAH – Borough Police have charged a Pottsville man in connection with a reported shooting in July on the west end.

Borough Police said they arrested 27-year-old Robery Calcano, of the 400 block of Claude A. Lord Boulevard, for charges of illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property.

The arrest was in connection with an ongoing investigation into a shooting in the area of North GIlbert and West Oak in late July, a story the Sentinel first broke.

Borough police obtained an arrest warrant on Monday, April 27, and the same day, Pottsvile Police took Calcano into custody.

Calcano was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 bail.
