Borough Police: Chester County man nabbed in drug sting with 4.5lbs of meth

SHENANDOAH – A Chester County man is in Schuylkill County Prison after police say he was caught by in town with 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine in a drug sting.

Abdul Wakil Sheppard, 32, of East Coventry Township, was arrested Wednesday on felony drug charges, according to Shenandoah Police.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Chief George Carado, borough police and an FBI Special Agent set up a controlled purchase of methamphetamine Wednesday morning in the borough.

Sheppard, police said, delivered a package containing five plastic bags of a white, crystal-like substance to the confidential informant.

Shortly after, Sheppard was pulled over by Shenandoah Police Patrolman Mark Hysock and state troopers where he was taken into custody.

The crystal-like substance, police said, tested positive for methamphetamine and totaled 4.5 pounds.

Sheppard was committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $50,000 cash bail.
