Borough man killed in Brandonville crash

BRANDONVILLE – A 22-year-old man from Shenandoah was killed in a vehicle accident in this East Union Township village Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 2:30am Sunday at 699 Main Boulevard.
State Police at Frackville said Emmanuel Polanco Diaz, 22, of Shenandoah, was headed south on Route 924 in a 2022 Honda Accord.
Troopers said Polanco Diaz was speeding attempting to negotiate a left curve and lost control, leaving the west side of the roadway and striking a tree with the driver’s side.
Polanco Diaz was rescued from the vehicle by firefighters from Sheppton-Oneida and Mahanoy City and transported by Shenandoah Ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton.
There, he was pronounced deceased.
His vehicle was towed from the scene by D&B Towing.
