Borough man charged in Ftn. Springs hit-and-run
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS – A Shenandoah man is facing charges for yesterday’s hit-and-run in this Butler Township village.
69-WFMZ-TV is reporting Kenny Deleon, 28, of Shenandoah, was charged for the incident yesterday.
The Allentown-based TV station reported that Deleon was travelling northbound along Fountain Street in a Subaru Impreza when he struck Jashua Geremia Gonzales Barreto around 8:30pm.
Gonzales Barreto was transported to a local hospital via air medical for treatment.
Deleon mistook the man for a deer, police told WFMZ, and reported the accident around 11:30pm.
Deleon is facing charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, leaving the scene of an accident, and duty to stop and render aid.
