BOIL ADVISORY LIFTED: Water service fully restored, DEP approves test samples
SHENANDOAH – Water service has been restored and the boil water advisory has been lifted for the Shenandoah area.
Aqua Pennsylvania said the advisory has been lifted for the former Municipal Authority of the Borough of Shenandoah water system, including Rappahannock, Lost Creek, William Penn, Shenandoah Heights and the borough.
“All customers can resume normal use of water, Aqua said in a statement. “The Aqua water trucks stationed outside Shenandoah Borough Hall will no longer be available.”
“We thank customers for their patience and understanding as we worked to resolve this issue,” Aqua added.
For the past week, water customers had seen either low water pressure or no water service at all after numerous breaks occurred in the system. Many of those breaks have been repaired and the system returned to full pressure.
