SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – Members of the Blue Devils basketball team did their part in helping keep the Shenandoah area clean Saturday morning.
“We take pride in our community, just as we do in our team,” said Coach Josh Dombrosky. “We hope this effort inspires others to take care of the places we all call home.”
Nine members of the Shenandoah Valley High School team along with Dombrosky pitched in, helping remove 17 bags of garbage, two car bumpers, metal pipes, and a discarded couch from the area of Route 924 and Pennsylvania Avenue.
The area from there north to Brandonville has become a haven for those averse to a trash bill or other means of proper trash disposal.
Team members participating in the clean-up included Harry Pagan, Alex Rivera, Izayah Lopez, Jonnuel Reyes, Albany Gonzalez, Mike Acosta, David Burrous, Ethan Bench, Coach Josh Dombrosky, and Mike Elchisak.
The team reminds everyone: Please do not litter. This is your home.
Their commitment to service extends beyond basketball, proving that true leadership starts with making a difference in the community.
