Blasting to cause brief closures on Route 61

FRACKVILLE – Expect intermittent road closures on “The Grade” in the midday for the next month or so.
PennDOT says blasting operations will require short-term traffic stoppages on Route 61 between 11am and 2pm. This’ll take place between August 20 and Sept. 30 and the stoppages are expected to be about 15 minutes each.
This is all part of the massive reconstruction project on the highway, a vital link between northern Schuylkill County and points south.
