Ashland approves two mill tax increase for 2024

ASHLAND – Borough council here approved a two mill tax increase for 2024.

The increase brings the borough’s tax rate to 30.5 mills, up from 28.5 mills.

Council last raised taxes for 2022.

In addition to the tax increase, council approved the 2024 budget in a split vote.

Voting in favor were President Patrick Cooney, Vice President Adam Bernodin, and members Ann Marie Groody, Jack Reilly, and Barry Spieles.

Voting against were members Francis Menne and Jerome Schmoltze.
