LOST CREEK #2 – Aqua has lifted the boil advisory for the villages west of Shenandoah impacted by Saturday’s water main break in Lost Creek #2.
The Bryn Mawr-based company and new owners of Shenandoah’s water system said the advisory impacted 400 customers in Lost Creek, William Penn, Connerton, Rappahannock, and a portion of Girardville.

Aqua says the main break was caused by digging in the area, which caused a pressure control valve malfunction, which led to six more leaks in the system, including in Girardville and Lost Creek.
Forty feet of main was replaced in Lost Creek #2 and all other leaks were repaired by Sunday evening.

The break initially caused flooding along Raven Run Road.
Customers in the affected area were originally asked to boil their water for at least a minute before drinking, or use bottled water.
