Another gun stolen from unlocked car in Shen. Heights
Latest in series of thefts
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – Another firearm has been stolen from another unlocked vehicle in this West Mahanoy Township village, state troopers said Wednesday.
The incident happened overnight between Sept. 4 and 5, according to State Police at Frackville.
Troopers said that a 48-year-old Delano woman had left a newly purchased handgun in a case under the front driver’s seat of her 2018 Nissan Murano in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue.
In the morning, she found that the gun — valued at $520 — had been stolen.
The theft is the latest in a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the village.
In August, a purse, pistol, and cash were swiped from cars in the 200 block of Arizona Avenue and the 300 block of Florida Avenue.
