$70k in drugs seized, three arrested in Shenandoah Friday

SHENANDOAH – Three were taken from a West Coal Street home in handcuffs Friday after members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and other agencies executed a search warrant.
Between 5:00pm and 8:30pm Friday, both uniformed and undercover officers searched an apartment at 225 West Coal Street, finding over $70,600 worth of illegal narcotics, according to Schuylkill County Detectives.
According to detectives, found in the home were more than six pounds of marijuana, estimated street value of $43,000; 62 grams of cocaine, $6,000; 71 grams of heroin, $18,000; Psilocybic mushroom; 120 THC vape canisters, $3,600; 27 Alprazolam pills.
Additionally, officers recovered three pistols and $7,258 in cash.
Three men, Darnell Williams, 42, Robert Calcano, 26, and Jonathan Calcano, 22, all of Shenandoah, were arrested and charged will a multitude of crimes, including multiple counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, and conspiracy to commit both.
All three were arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $250,000 bail. All will face Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker in Shenandoah.
Assisting at the scene were Pennsylvania state troopers, members of the Office of the Attorney General, and officers from Butler Township and Frackville.
Officers remained on the scene well into the evening.
