Deadline for SFD smoke alarm installations sign-ups is Friday
SHENANDOAH – The Shenandoah Fire Department and the American Red Cross are partnering to install smoke alarms in the borough later this month, and if you need one, you have until this Friday to sign up.
The alarms and installation are both free, and volunteers will be out installing the alarms between 5pm and 8pm March 22.
To sign up, visit borough hall or the Shenandoah Valley School District office by March 17.
In light of the recent fires in the borough, Shenandoah Fire Chief Rick Examitas reminds residents of the importance of smoke alarms in saving lives.
