The Schuylkill County Coalition of Historical Societies hosted the event at the Fairlane Village Mall near Saint Clair Saturday afternoon.

Local historical societies from Shenandoah, Ashland, Mahanoy City, and Girardville were all present with various items of local history.

Andy and Debra Ulicny handled the stand for the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society and had photos of St. George’s Church, the Kehley Run Colliery, among others, for people to take. They also sold cookbooks of local recipes and displayed antiques, as well as the Shenandoah Centennial book from 1966.

Historical societies from the rest of the county were well-represented as well, such as Tremont’s and Pine Grove’s, as well as specialized groups, like one dedicated to coal region motorsports.
