Two from town accused of shoplifting at Hazle Twp. Walmart
HAZLE TWP., Luzerne County – Two people from Shenandoah are facing retail theft charges after separate incidents at the Walmart here this month.
On Jan. 12 just before 5pm, State Police at Hazleton were called to the Walmart on Airport Road for a reported retail theft.
Troopers said Bethy Delossantoscolon, 23, of Shenandoah, took 29 items valued at $271.60 from the store. Items included $19.83 worth of food, $230.75 of clothing, $15.14 in school supplies, and $5.88 in toys. She is facing one count of felony retail theft in Magisterial District Judge James Dixon’s Hazle Township courtroom.
On Jan. 17 at 5pm, troopers were again called to the store for a reported retail theft.
Troopers said Jill Josette Sanchez, 51, of Shenandoah, passed the final points of sale without paying for $76.41 worth of assorted household goods.
Sanchez is facing a summary count of retail theft for the incident in Dixon’s courtroom.
