Car hits downtown Rite Aid
SHENANDOAH – No one was hurt when a vehicle struck the Shenandoah Rite Aid store Saturday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called around 2:20pm to the Rite Aid at 15 South Main Street for a vehicle accident.
Borough police at the scene said that a woman driving a Ford Edge was parking her car when she mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake,
Her car struck the wall of the store, knocking down shelving inside.
She was unharmed in the incident, police said, but the car had to be towed.
Responding to the scene along with borough police was Shenandoah’s Columbia Hose Co. and Shenandoah Ambulance.
