Shenandoah pair found passed out in car with kids in Montgomery
COLMAR, Montgomery County – A pair from town is facing charges after police in Montgomery County allegedly found them passed out in a car in a Wawa parking lot last Thursday.
Hatfield Township Police released information on the incident today, saying that, on Sept. 24, their officers were patrolling in the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike, PA Route 309, when they found Nathaniel Lehman, 28, of Shenandoah, slumped over the steering wheel and exhibiting signs of impairment.
Also inside the vehicle was Ashley Craig, 25, of Shenandoah, and three children.
North Penn Now is reporting that the two were found passed out in the vehicle, and that Lehman had an uncapped syringe and metal spoon with white residue in his lap.
The community news source from Montgomery County adds that 60 small bags of heroin, along with empty syringes, were found in the vehicle, and that Craig told police the pair had headed to Philadelphia to purchase heroin.
The pair were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy on Sept. 24.
Craig is facing three counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment. Lehman faces the same, along with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
