North Schuylkill Graduates

139 students make up North Schuylkill’s Class of 2020.

Commencement ceremonies will take place over about a week and a half, beginning with diploma hand-outs May 22-24 at Spartan Field. Then, on June 3, between 3pm and 6pm, the graduating class will parade through the entire North Schuylkill School District, tentatively.

NS Superintendent Robert Ackell said the parade will begin in the Englewood section of Butler Township, parading through Frackville before heading down the “two-miler” towards Ashland. The parade will then parade through the Creswell Gardens and Fountain Springs area before heading to Gordon.

From there, the parade will go through Lavelle, Locustdale, Ashland, and Girardville, turning back in Girardville to head towards Centralia and Aristes.

The parade will then go through Aristes to Ringtown, where the parade will end.

Emergency vehicles will be dispersed throughout the parade route.

At 7pm that night, a virtual graduation will be broadcasted via YouTube.
