Heights firefighters handle brush fire on Route 924

SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – About a quarter of an acre burned in a brush fire Sunday afternoon near the access road to Shenandoah Heights.
Shenandoah Heights firefighters were called just after 3:00pm for the brush fire, which was near the intersection of Ringtown Boulevard (Route 924) and Pennsylvania Avenue, adjacent to the former Shenandoah Evening Herald office.
Heights firefighters had the fire contained within a few minutes.
