Bridge closed until October in Roaring Creek Twp.

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - Signs warn drivers of a bridge closure in Mill Grove, seen on April 7, 2026.

MILL GROVE – A bridge in southern Columbia County is closed to traffic and will be for much of the year as crews work on a rehabilitation project.

Mill Road in the heart of the village of Mill Grove, Roaring Creek Township, closed to traffic on Monday.

PennDOT says a contractor is working to rehabilitate the bridge carrying Mill Road over Roaring Creek, replacing the bridge deck.

Traffic is being detoured using Ideal Park Road, Route 42, Ringtown Mountain Road, and Mill Grove Road.

The detour will be in place through October, PennDOT says.

Rylind Construction is the contractor for the $852,707 project.
