State store to close permanently in Ashland
ASHLAND – Folks in one northern Schuylkill community will have to travel a little farther for their wine and liquor soon.
The Ashland Fine Wine and Good Spirits store at 630 Centre Street will close on Saturday, April 25, a Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board spokesperson confirmed to the Sentinel Friday afternoon.
It will close permanently at 6 p.m. that day, the spokesperson said.
The location is one of three in northern Schuylkill County, with stores remaining in the Turkey Run section of Shenandoah and in downtown Mahanoy City. There is also a location between Kulpmont and Shamokin.
