HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania State Police showed off upgrades to their patrol cars Thursday morning.
Among them is the V-shaped Valor lightbar which PSP says provides full 360-degree illumination, “dramatically increasing visibility compared to traditional linear bars.”
The upgrades also add a new siren system to cruisers, a modernized light and siren control panel, as well as a public address system with automated voice commands in English and Spanish.
“These upgrades represent a major step forward in safety, visibility, and operational efficiency,” said Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens, Acting Commissioner of the PSP. “This department has long set the benchmark for professionalism and innovation, and with this cutting‑edge technology, we will continue to lead by example and set new standards for law enforcement across the nation.”
