Police: Mahanoy man, possibly armed, slipped away from standoff
MAHANOY CITY – Police arrested a Mahanoy City man they say slipped out of a standoff Thursday morning.
Joshua Osborne, 35, of Mahanoy City, was wanted after Mahanoy City Police say he threated to shoot officers while he was barricaded in an East Mahanoy Street home.
As officers were awaiting backup, Osborne escaped through a second story rear window into an abandoned home before escaping.
Osborne was taken into custody later Thursday.
