PSP investigating arson, apparent burglary near Schuylkill Haven
NORTH MANHEIM TOWNSHIP – State troopers are investigating after they say someone, or a group of people, set a home aflame.
Troopers were called just after 11pm to the 200 block of Route 61 South in North Manheim Township just east of Schuylkill Haven.
There, a home had caught fire.
Neighbors said they saw three men walking out of the home with items belonging to the homeowner, who was away.
One neighbor gave chase to those men who fled, and the neighbor discovered a fire had been set in the home’s kitchen.
Earlier in the evening, a woman had ben seen surveying the residence.
Fifteen vehicles on the property were also damaged in the incident.
