PSP: Ringtown man shot Shenandoah woman, endangered another and two children

RINGTOWN – A Ringtown man is in Schuylkill County Prison, accused of shooting a woman in the leg in the presence of another, a toddler, and an infant.

Austin Snyder, 25, of Ringtown, is facing aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment charges.

State Police at Frackville said they were called to 527 West Main Street in Ringtown around 7pm for a reported domestic with weapons involved.

A 51-year-old Shenandoah woman had been shot in the leg and was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. She is in stable condition.

When the incident happened, a 24-year-old woman, a 3-year-old girl, and a 4-month-old boy were all present.

There is no threat to the public.

Snyder was arraigned and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $150,000 bail.
