One flown from valley crash; missing dog found
UPDATED – ARISTES – One person was flown to a trauma center and a dog that fled after a crash on the Ringtown-Aristes Road in Conyngham Township Wednesday morning has been found.
The crash happened around 10:30am midway between Aristes and the Schuylkill County line near the pole line.
A Ford Explorer was involved in the crash and three occupants were injured, one critically.
The critical patient was taken to an awaiting air medical helicopter in Aristes and flown to an area trauma center. Two others were treated at the scene — one was taken by ground to the hospital and the other refused transport.
Information on how the crash happened was not immediately available Wednesday evening.
Two dogs were also involved in the crash, one of whom was treated at the scene by Ringtown Valley Veterinary Hospital staff members and taken to their facility in Pattersonville.
The other dog, Zoey, fled from the car into the nearby woodlands.
She was found later Thursday.
