Shenandoah chamber recognizes volunteer

SHENANDOAH – The Greater Shenandoah Chamber of Commerce presented a certificate of appreciation to Albert Victor, Shenandoah, for his efforts to fundraise for the chamber and its holiday lighting campaign at a special meeting Thursday morning.

The certificate was presented by Chamber Treasurer Mark Bernardyn, branch manager at M&T Bank. Bernardyn also co-chaired the holiday lighting committee alongside Betty Ann Bugden.

Bernardyn is retiring this week after 42 years at the bank and the chamber met to discuss the future of the treasurer’s position and the holiday lighting committee.

Victor, known around town as the “Candy Man” has helped distribute and sell boxes of fundraiser chocolate bars to help community causes.
