SUV burns on Herald Road

SHENANDOAH – A GMC Yukon burned along Herald Road near the Mrs. T’s warehouse and former Shenandoah Rag Company building Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the area of Herald Road and Laurel Street for a reported vehicle fire just after 6pm.
Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the engine compartment of a GMC Yukon SUV outside the former Rag Company.
Firefighters made quick work of the fire, but not before the SUV sustained heavy damage.
No injuries were reported, and it was not clear if the driver remained at the scene.
State Police at Frackville are investigating.
